This is a really nice post. Several times a year I get bumped by clients because their mate has just got a digital camera so they don’t need me any more. It’s disheartening, not just for the loss of business, but because I know that the couple are going to get poor photographs. And in 20 years time it’s the only thing they’ll have left from their wedding.

I sometimes have difficulty explaining to potential clients why my time is worth what I charge, and you make some great points in this post which I will certainly be using!

I really love the openning picture, think its brilliant, the candy floss and the licking of the fingers. looks brilliant. I think the firework photos are really sweet as well. Great work Phil

Thanks Lee-Ann, but you two made it easy. Not everyone would be that comfortable roaming round a packed funfair followed by a couple of photographers like Hollywood stars.
