Here’s a sneak peek from the recent wedding of Doncaster couple Melisa and Jon . The wedding was held at Rowley Manor in Little Weighton, a gorgeous setting, it’s a shame that the sun never broke through the mist all day but it never spoilt a thing for this happy family occasion.

Congratulations to Trisha and Mick

Congratulations to Trisha and Mick who’s wedding we’ll be photographing at The Stables near Doncaster, this is one of the closest wedding venues to our home and we’re really looking forward to it.

Trisha and Mick are a great couple and are getting married on Bonfire night, which is a first for us.

New Website Goes Live

Whilst I’ve been a bit quiet on the blog front, I’ve been working in the background to create a new web presence for PhilVaughan Photography.

We decided to go with a common feel between the blog and the website, as things needed a freshen up and the old site was unavailable on smartphones and ipads etc.

The new site’s now available from the Website link above or here. There are also details for getting a great deal on wedding photography here.

Christmas Wedding in Barnsley, Doncaster and Sheffield.

We recently had a joyous day out all over South Yorkshire for the wedding of Rebecca and Peter.

We started the day at the home of the bride in Barnsley. The wedding ceremony was held in the beautiful St Michael & All Angels, Brodsworth. Following the service the couple had their reception at Whitley Hall Hotel in Sheffield. A beautifully Christmas themed wedding, thankfully the heavy snow had nearly all gone by the day of the wedding.

Wakefield Wedding

Liz and Mark were married at Walton Hall Hotel Wakefield, a gorgeous venue and the staff were brilliant.

The day started at Liz’s parents home where all 6 bridesmaids, 2 of the pageboys and the hairdresser had landed for early preparations. Various Gameboy’s, iPhones and cartoons kept the children entertained, whilst Liz’s Mum did what mums do best, keeping everyone fed and watered.

Things slowed down a little by the time we got to the venue for final preparations where the calming influence of the beautiful surroundings took over. Luckily, the weatherman got it wrong and we managed to avoid the heavy rain forecast, despite it raining in Leeds, Sheffield and York; Wakefield remained rain free.

They’re a great fun couple which I think shows in the photographs we captured for them.

Doncaster Wedding

We had a gorgeous Spring day for the wedding of Claire and Brian.

They were married in the Abbey Road suite at Doncaster’s Regent Hotel. A great fun couple who are so in love and had a wonderful day with their family and friends.

The bridesmaids were angelic, as you can see in the pictures here.

We recently met Liz and Mark for their pre-wedding shoot and to have a look around their wedding venue. We used the images for their wedding guest book which they loved.

Sheffield City Centre Wedding

We had a wonderful morning in Sheffield for the marriage of Lisa and Kevin.

It was an early start as they got married at 9.30 and we managed to avoid the rain (mostly) and had a great time around the Town Hall, Peace Gardens and Winter Gardens.

The reception was held in St Peter’s Hotel, where the wedding breakfast was indeed – breakfast. It still being only 11.00am.

‘Best Man’ duties were performed admirably by Kevin’s daughter Nat and the gorgeous pageboy was the couples son James

Destination Weddings?

When I have time out from shooting wedding photographs in and around Yorkshire, there’s no better exercise for my creativity than this….

There’s the equivalent of the bridal preparation shots… seeing the final preparations coming together

And there’s getting in close to show the romance of the occasion…

We need to be prepared for changing weather conditions, these were both shot on the same day…

There’s practising my timing for capturing peak action, this helps for the dance floor images…

Something old (TR7 – V8 on the RAC Rally)..

Something New (The new Red Bull Citroen C4 – first time out)..

Something Borrowed (Petter Solberg – first time out in his new C4)..

Something Blue ..
